c. Usage Data: We collect information about how you interact with the Local Platform, including ride details, app usage, and communication records between passengers and drivers conducted through the platform.

d. Device Information: We may collect information about the devices you use to access the Local Platform, including device models, IP addresses, operating systems, and mobile network information.

2. How We Use Your Information

a. Providing and Improving the Local Platform: We use your information to provide, maintain, and improve the Local Platform, including matching passengers with drivers, calculating fares and platform fees, and customer support.

b. Safety and Security: We use your information to promote the safety and security of the Local Platform, including verifying user identities, preventing fraud and illegal activity, and responding to safety incidents.

c. Communications: We may use your information to communicate with you about your account, rides, promotions, and platform updates. You may opt out of certain communications in your account settings.

d. Legal Obligations: We may use and disclose your information as necessary to comply with legal obligations, such as responding to subpoenas, court orders, or other lawful requests from public authorities.

3. Sharing Your Information

a. Drivers: When you request a ride, certain information is shared with the driver, including your name, pickup and dropoff locations, and contact information for ride coordination purposes.

b. Service Providers: We may share your information with trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating the Local Platform, conducting our business, or servicing you, subject to confidentiality obligations consistent with this policy.

c. Business Transfers: If Local is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, but we will provide notice before your information is transferred or becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

d. Aggregated Data: We may share aggregated, non-personally identifiable information publicly to show trends about the use of the Local Platform.

e. Consent: We may share your information in other ways with your explicit consent.

b. Location Data: You can stop the collection of location data by adjusting your device permissions or uninstalling the app. However, this will impact the functionality of the Local Platform.

c. Promotions: You can opt out of receiving promotional emails by following the unsubscribe instructions in those messages. Opting out of promotional communications does not affect transactional communications necessary for using the platform.

d. Data Rights: Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, such as the right to access, update, or delete your data. Contact us with any requests and we will respond in accordance with applicable laws.

6. Children’s Privacy

The Local Platform is not intended for use by children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we learn that we have collected personal information of a child under 18, we will take steps to delete that information as soon as possible.
